Cultural Program by Sri Jagannath Mandir, Thyagraj Nagar, New Delhi at Thagraj Stadium
“SAMARPANA”- a cultural Gala Evening of Odisha’s Culture, Dance & Music.
On 12th July, 2016, for the first time in the history of Delhi, the highly anticipated event “SAMARPANA”- a cultural Gala Evening of Odisha’s Culture, Dance & Music, organised by Shri Jagannath Mandir and Odisha Arts and Cultural Centre, Delhi, was successfully hosted at Thyagraj Indoor Stadium, New Delhi as a part of Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra Mahotsava, 2016, in which senior students of doyen of Odissi dance Smt. Sujata Mohapatra, musical hungama by India’s Raw Star Rituraj Mohanty & Group and dance by Artists of India’s Got Talent participants had shown their superb talent before the audiences of Delhi. The event was hosted by famous TV actress Ms. Sulagna Routroy. We are privileged that Odisha’s leading Odiya News paper “PRAMEYA” and News Channel “NEWS7” has become the Media Partner for the event.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, inaugurated the festival as Chief Guest along with Sh. Madan Lal, Hon’ble MLA, Sh. Ajay Sawhney, Addl. Secy., Petroleum Minister and Sh. Suresh Panda, Member- Prasar Bharati, inaugurated the evening. Hon’ble Sh. Pradhan highly appreciated the work done by OACC, Delhi, in bringing the MINI ODISHA before the Delhi people.
In their performance at the launch, the students of Smt. Sujata Mohapatra Odissi dancers presented their display highlighting the traditional pure Odissi dance form as depicted in the temples of Odisha.
The First Raw Star of India, Sh. Rituraj Mohanty, enthralled the audiences with his melodious voice with popular sufi songs.
The energetic, enthusiastic and sparkling dance by Artists of INDIA’s GOT TALENT, made the audiences spell-bound with their dazzling performance.
The program was concluded with the melodious voice of Sh. Rituraj Mohanty by public demand. The atmosphere was electrifying and ecstatic.
