CV Ananda Bose resigns as West Bengal Governor

New Delhi: West Bengal Governor C. V. Ananda Bose has resigned from his post, according to an official at Lok Bhavan. His resignation comes ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.

Bose, a former Indian Administrative Service officer, had been serving as the Governor of West Bengal since November 2022. He submitted his resignation to the President on Thursday, bringing his tenure to an end after more than three years in office.

Following his resignation, reports indicate that R. N. Ravi is likely to take over the responsibilities of the West Bengal Governor. The development comes at a politically significant time as the state prepares for its upcoming Assembly elections.

The reasons behind Bose’s resignation have not been officially disclosed yet.
