DAYLIGHT HEIST FROM TWO BUSINESSMEN IN OKHLA WORKED OUT WITH THE ARREST OF THREE CRIMINALS OF AN INTERSTATE GANG OF CRIMINALS HAILING FROM BHIND-MORENA (MP).
THE GANG LEADER IS AN ARMY DESERTER AND ONE OF THE MOST WANTED CRIMINALS OF MP AND UP.
A KIDNAPPING BID OF A BUSINESSMAN OF NCR FOR RANSOM FOILED.

Crime Branch has busted a gang of Inter-State criminals and worked out the sensational dacoity committed near a bank in Okhla with the arrest of three robbers namely (i) Ankesh Singh @ Setu (29 yrs) s/o Rajbir Singh r/o Village Kot Prosa, District Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, (ii) Iqrar Khan @ Sonu Khan (32 yrs) s/o Nasim Khan r/o A-282, Nikhil Vihar Colony, Ismail Pur, Faridabad, Haryana, (iii) Anuj Kumar @ Vipin (24 yrs) s/o Ram Shankar r/o T-huts, Tehkhand, Okhla Phase-1, Delhi. Robbed cash Rs. 1,16,000/-, gold chain worth Rs. 85,000/-, a Santro car purchased from booty and mobile phones used in commission of crime have been recovered from their possession.

INCIDENT: –

On 25.07.2015, a businessman engaged in supplying labourers on contract basis alongwith his cousin, had gone to Bank of India, Okhla Phase-1 to withdraw Rs.22.84 lac for disbursal among his employees. When he alongwith his cousin came out with the bag containing the cash and sat in his Alto car, three motorcycle born armed criminals opened fired on them and robbed away the bag containing the cash. On seeing this incident, the public persons started chasing the assailants but they cleverly threw bundles of robbed notes in the public to divert their attention and fled away safely. A case vide FIR No.561/15 u/s 394/397/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi in this regard.

INFORMATION, TEAM & INTERROGATION:-

On 04.08.2015, specific information was received by SI Ritesh that three persons involved in the robbery committed near a bank at Okhla, Delhi will reach near Batra Hospital, Tughlakabad Institutional Area, Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, New Delhi. Acting on the information, a team led by DCP Bhisham Singh and consisting of ACP KPS Malhotra, Inspr. Surinder Singh Sandhu, SIs Ritesh, Vijay Samaria, Neeraj Kumar, HCs Jai Prakash, Ajeet, Surender, Abhay, Kanwarpal, Cts Satyabir, Sandeep, Vijender, Vikram, Ranjeet, Ravi Mishra, Parvesh, Daya Ram, Dhanraj and Manjeet was constituted under the supervision of Addl.CP Alok Kumar the raid was conducted to nab them. The team laid a trap and the above mentioned accused persons Ankesh Singh @ Setu (29 yrs), Iqrar Khan @ Sonu Khan (32 yrs) and Anuj Kumar @ Vipin (24 yrs) were apprehended. On interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the dacoity committed in the area of PS-Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi.

On intensive interrogation, the plot of the dacoity has been unearthed and it is revealed that the mastermind behind this dacoity is Sudhir Parihar @ Fauji, an army deserter, who is wanted in number of cases in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. Fauji had formed a gang alongwith Pankaj, Bhura, Ankesh Singh @ Setu, Iqrar Khan @ Sonu Khan, Anuj @ Vipin and Binesh. They would deploy Anuj @ Vipin and Binesh to go inside the banks and pass the information about the persons who withdraw huge cash.

The gang members had conducted recce of the Bank of India in Okhla Industrial area, Delhi and hatched a plan to rob bank customers who carry huge cash. Fauji had procured two stolen motorcycles alongwith one sophisticated pistol and one country made pistol to execute the plan. On 25.07.2015, Ankesh Singh @ Setu, Fauji and Pankaj reached near ESI Hospital at Okhla on a stolen motorcycle where Vipin, Binesh, Bhura and Sonu were also present. Fauji again briefed all his gang members and told them to follow his instructions. Thereafter, Ankesh Singh @ Setu, Fauji & Pankaj and Ikrar Khan & Bhura reached the spot on two motorcycles while Vipin and Binesh reached on foot. After reaching at the spot, they consumed liquor near a kiosk and then took positions as already told by Fauji. Binesh, who was inside the bank, informed Vipin and Ikrar Khan that a person is encashing a cheque of more than Rs. 22 lac. Binesh informed them about the description of the person withdrawing the huge cash. Accordingly, Sonu and Vipin took position near the Alto car of the target while Bhura was keeping vigil on them on his motorcycle to provide support in the event of need. At about 12:45 pm, when the complainant alongwith his cousin came out with the bag containing cash and sat in his Alto car, the motorcycle born armed criminals Ankesh, Fauji and Pankaj reached near driver side, opened fired on them and robbed away the bag containing the cash. On seeing this incident, the public persons started chasing the assailants but they cleverly threw bundles of robbed notes in the public to divert their attention and fled away safely.

Thereafter, they shared the booty at ISBT, Agra where Ankesh got Rs. 2 lac while Ikrar Khan got Rs 1.5 lac to be shared by him with Vipin and Binesh. On receiving only Rs. 2 lac, Ankesh started arguing with Fauji that the robbed amount was more but meager amount has been given as his share. On this, Fauji threatened him to keep mum otherwise he would kill him.

The gang was planning to kidnap a businessman of Faridabad for ransom which has been foiled with the arrest.

RECOVERY: –

Robbed cash Rs. 1,16,000/-
A gold chain worth Rs. 85,000/-
A Santro car purchased from booty.
Mobile phones used in commission of the crime.

PROFILE: –

Ankesh Singh @ Setu is presently residing at H.No. 352/E-14, Munirka Village, New Delhi, has studied upto 7^th He is married and has a son. He used to run a gas cylinder refilling shop at Munirka but he had to close the shop due to fire while refilling in the cylinder and a case was also registered against him at PS-Vasant Kunj in this regard. He had come in contact with Sudhir Parihar @ Fauji in Madhya Pradesh. Ankesh has also been arrested in a case of robbery committed in a jewellery shop at Molarband Market, Badarpur, Delhi in April, 2014.
Iqrar Khan @ Sonu Khan is married and has one child from the wedlock. He was in need of money due to which he joined the gang.
Anuj Kumar @ Vipin is married and he works as field boy with Metro Paper Company situated at Tuglakabad Extension, Delhi.
