DELHI BJP DEMANDS POWER MINISTER TO PROVIDE RELIEF IN THE ELECTRICITY BILLS TO THE PEOPLE AND SETTING UP CONTROL ROOMS DURING MONSOON

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay, General Secretary & MP Shri Ramesh BIdhuri and senior MLA Shri Jagdish Mukhi met the Central Power Minister Shri Piyush Goel and demanded that the Central Government should take initiative to provide relief to the people of Delhi crying under the pressure of hefty power bills.

Shri Upadhyay pointed out that the subsidy given to the lower and middle class people of Delhi in power bills could have continued but for the callous attitude of Aam Aadmi Party Government which quit in haste without making necessary provisions during their regime.

It was also demanded that the Power Minister should issue directions to the distribution companies to stop undeclared power cuts and work for strengthening the power supply infrastructure in Delhi with the help the allocation of 200 crore rupees in Central Budget in other resources.

Besides this demand was made for issuing orders to the Discoms to setup control rooms which should be operated by senior officers 24×7. A third party regular inspection of DISCOMS Complaint Control Rooms was also suggested.
