Delhi BJP felicitates people of Delhi on the occasion of Lohri & Makarsankranti

LOHRI IS FESTIVAL OF JOY – PUNJABIS DO NOT DISCRIMINATE BETWEEN SONS & DAUGHTERS

New Delhi, 13^th January.  Delhi BJP Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay and National SecretarySardar R.P. Singh have said that the Delhi Government has in its advertisement issued to felicitate the people of Delhi on the occasion of Lohri insulted Punjabiyat by connecting it with discrimination between Son & Daughter.

They said that there is no discrimination on the basis of sex in Punjabi Community and the Punjabi daughters today enhance the honour of their families. In Delhi the Punjabi Community celebrates it as a festival of joy and when there is special occasion of happiness in the family then this is celebrated on a large scale.

Pradesh Office bearers Shri Ashish Sood, Shri Tilak Raj Kataria, Prof. Rajni Abbi, Shri Harish Khurana, Smt. Kiran Chaddha, Shri Pawan Monga, Sardar Hartirath Singh and Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor have said thatit would have been better if the Delhi Government had enquired from their Punjabi MLAs and MPs whether the Punjabis discriminate between Sons & Daughters before issuing this advertisement.
