I must be one of the happiest persons to learn that my dream project,Delhi-Meerut Expressway that I conceptualised as Commissioner of Meerut Division with the then Secretary ,Surface Transport of Government of India ,in year 2010 may start taking shape with the P.M.’s Foundation -laying programme on 31st December 2015 in Noida.It took almost 6 years to reach this stage.The previous UPA government was undoubtedly a lazy government,but the NDA too has taken its own time and we may hope that the project gets completed in mentionable time.It is like repeating better late than never.Land Acquisition and removal of encroachments may be a tough exercise as things have changed in a big way in these 6 years.We may take some lessons from the planning and speed of execution of Yamuna Expressway,a real milestone in this field.I wish all the best
