New Delhi, 11 October 2022: The Delhi government has introduced an app, “Delhi e-monitoring” to monitor all ongoing and upcoming initiatives and projects across departments.

Simultaneously, all departments have been requested to update project data and information and link it to the app, with Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar planning to monitor and check projects through it.

The ministers and senior employees of various ministries of the Delhi government will use the application to track projects, inspections, and duties.

The PWD web portal links PWD data there, and the Chief Secretary keeps an eye on the app. Therefore, according to a senior PWD official, it is crucial to update the data on the PWD web portal.

Officials further stated, “This app will automatically update any data that is updated on the PWD site. Therefore, it has been ordered that the department send the appropriate instructions and warnings to the involved officials so they can download the app and maintain track of projects and inspection.”

Additionally, the PWD has instructed authorities to designate a nodal officer at the level of the zonal office to oversee it and all problems with the PWD online portal. Around 1,400 km of major roadways, including Delhi’s Outer Ring Road and Ring Road, are managed by the department.

All chief engineers of the road, maintenance, projects, and flyover divisions have been instructed by the Public Works Department (PWD), which oversees the construction of major roads, flyovers, and building infrastructure projects, to update project data on the PWD portal.
