Delhi, Sept 16th, 2022: In the latest development in the Delhi excise policy scam case, the Enforcement Directorate(ED) on Friday conducted raids at 40 locations across India including Chennai, Delhi NCR, and Hyderabad.

Premises linked to liquor businessmen, distributors, and supply chain networks in Nellore and some other cities like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu are being searched.

This is the second round of raids conducted by the ED in the last few days.
The probe agency had last week searched 45 locations across India in Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, etc.

The case of money laundering in the excise policy stems from a CBI FIR which named Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and a few other officials as the accused.

The ED raids come a day after Dy CM Sisodia dared the BJP to get him arrested based on a ‘sting operation’ video that the saffron party claims to have.

The agency also is likely to question AAP leader and minister Satyendar Jain in the Tihar jail in connection with the case.
