Delhi government adds 30 more services to its door step services

New Delhi: People living in Delhi can now avail 30 more services at their doorstep, including adding members in ration card, paying the motor vehicle tax and getting a DTC pass, taking the total number of such services to 100.

The second phase of the doorstep delivery of public services, Residents can dial 1076 and get the service by paying ₹50 extra, told Arvind Kejriwal while addressing a press conference.

He also presented some data indicating the success of the service ” We received 2 lakh 89 thousand calls out of which 2 lakh 64 thousand calls were got resolved in terms of work. The success rate of the service was 91 percent. Our 70 services are operational, but from now we are adding 30 more to it, taking the total number to 100″

“The new services include, booking a tour package through Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corp, Drug department, labor department & women and child department ” He added.

In September 2018, the Delhi government had launched the doorstep delivery of 40 public services to make things easy for the common man.

In first phase, people got certificates of marriage, caste, domicile, income, births and deaths among others at their doors.

Driving license, new water or sewer connection and disconnection were also provided under the scheme which functions between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. through a ‘Mobile Sahayak’.

About 80% of the applications received were through the direct window, but the doorstep delivery service is catching up gradually, shows data.
