New Delhi (25 March 2025): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced plans to relocate Tihar Jail to the outskirts of the city, citing safety concerns due to its proximity to residential areas. In the budget for 2025-26, the government has allocated ₹10 crore for survey and consultancy services to facilitate the relocation process.
