March 3, New Delhi: The Government of Delhi on Wednesday proclaimed that it will provide conveyance to Delhites arriving from war-hit Ukraine at the Hindon Air force base or the Indira Gandhi international airport to their home.
Revenue minister Kailash Gehlot on Wednesday in a tweet announced that the Delhi government would arrange for the journey of Delhi residents being brought to the Hindon airport in the Ghaziabad or Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital to their home.
He also added that the Delhi government is standing will all the family members in every way.
As per the government, 878 individuals from Delhi were in Ukraine (mostly students) of which 215 have returned home under ongoing Operation Ganga.
On Wednesday teams were made by the revenue department to contact & visit the family members of those stuck in Ukraine & also for those who have returned back to Delhi.
Moreover, as per Delhi government reports out of the 878, at least 337 families were contacted via Phone while 112 families were paid visits by the district authorities.
