Delhi Govt Open Applications and Issues Missed Call Number For Delhi Residents Opting for Free Electricity

New Delhi, 14 September 2022: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that Delhi residents can start applying for the electricity subsidy from October.

“The Delhi govt has worked hard to improve the infrastructure of the electricity, stop corruption and money leakage in the national capital, as a result saved the government’s money. This money will be utilised to provide 24 hours electricity supply and free electricity to all the Delhi residents who opt for it. This can only be done by an honest and dedicated government,” Kejriwal added.

“Those who wish to apply for a subsidy will receive an application form, which they must submit to the designated collection center. Applicants for this assistance must submit their forms by September 30. They can also leave a missed call at 7011311111, which would connect them to a WhatsApp form where they can submit an application for assistance. The month’s stipend will be paid to those who seek assistance by October 31. People may submit a subsidy application every month,” he added.

Consumers will get a confirmation in the next 3 days of registration and a subsidy will be implemented. The government will also undertake comprehensive campaigns for more penetration of this information to the residents, he added.

Starting on Wednesday, consumers would have a choice between online and offline methods for obtaining power subsidies.
