New Delhi (22 March 2025): The counting of votes for the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) elections was halted at 3,796 votes on Friday and is set to resume on 23rd March morning. The keenly contested election has seen intense competition, with multiple candidates vying for key positions, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Joint Secretary.
As per the latest figures, Hariharan (1,527 votes) is leading the race for President, closely followed by Kirti Uppal (1,462 votes), while Abhijat trails with 707 votes. Sacchin Puri has taken a strong lead for Vice President with 2,303 votes, ahead of Shyam Sharma (977) and IS Alagh (526). For the post of Secretary, Vikram Panwar is leading with 2,262 votes, surpassing Mohit Gupta (1,456) and Anil Kathuria (81).
In the Treasurer race, Kanika is ahead with 2,334 votes, while Kusum Dhalla (439) and Zeba Khair (1,014) remain in contention. For Joint Secretary, Kunal Malhotra (1,624) is leading, followed by Anurag Rawal (1,195), Pradeep Gahlot (646), and Amit Grover (207).
With counting set to resume tomorrow, the legal fraternity eagerly awaits the final results, which will determine the new leadership of one of Delhi’s most influential bar associations.
