New Delhi, 13 August 2022: BJP MP Manoj Tiwari on Friday awarded Rs 5 lakh cash to Commonwealth Medal-winning Wrestler Divya Kakran. The north Delhi MP visited the wrestler’s residence in Gokalpuri in his constituency.
Tiwari’s move comes days after the wrestler criticised the Delhi government of giving no financial support in her in her training years.
Later, Kakran also tied Rakhi to the BJP MP who also promised to extend all support to her.
“I have come to my sister so that she can tie rakhi to me. Like a brother I will extend her all the support to make her shine and excel in her field,” Tiwari said.
Tiwari asserted that he would support Kakran until she received the justice she deserved and that he would continue to assist her in honing her skills.
