Delhi: Non-plan admissions to classes X, XII in govt schools begins today

New Delhi, 25th April 2022: Application forms for the ‘non-plan’ admissions to Classes X, XII in the Delhi government schools are now available online from today onwards for the new academic session.

It is mandated by the Director of Education that the applicant must have passed class 9th and 11th from a recognised school in the year 2021-2022.

The issuance of applications is scheduled to start from Monday, 25th April 2022 and will end with the declaration of result of the common admission test which was held on Friday, 13th April 2022.

“Relaxation of 5% marks in any one of the three subjects mentioned for admission in a particular stream of class XII is to be given in respect of candidates belonging to the categories SC/ST/Minorities/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/Kashmiri Migrants and those students having I/11/111 positions in National Games,” as per the guidelines.

Only children residing in New Delhi are eligible for the admission, the guidelines stated.

The Director of Education may give age relaxation to any deserving student on the grounds such as disruption of studies due to death of either of the parents, prolonged illness of either of the parents/child or any trauma faced by the student. In such cases parents of the students are required to submit an application on the attached format to the Head of the school nearer to his/her residence along with supporting documents related to the grounds under which relief has been sought,” according to the guidelines.
