Delhi Police Detains AAP’s Sanjay Singh Among Other Protestors Outside CBI Headquarters

New Delhi, 17 October 2022: The Delhi police has detained AAP leader Sanjay Singh, and other demonstrators outside the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Delhi for allegedly breaking prohibitory orders.

Singh and other leaders were demonstrating in front of the CBI headquarters when Sisodia was going through interrogation for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the excise policy.

He has been held along with other demonstrators in the CGO complex, where CrPC section 144 is in effect, according to a senior police officer. Section 144 forbids gatherings of four or more people, therefore, he has been detained by the police for violating the orders.
