On Tuesday night, Delhi Women Commission claimed to rescued 39 Nepali girls from Hotel Hridav Inn in Delhi’s Paharganj area who had been victim of human trafficking.
On July 28, DWC Rescued Six Nepalese women, who were allegedly trafficked to Delhi, from a house in south Delhi’s Munrika where they were held hostage for past 20 days.
‘The recent human trafficking incidents of paharganj, Munrika proved that foreign girl trafficking racket is active in the city and police has turned blind eye on it. Police never investigate such matter despite having solid evidence and put those cases under the carpet,’ said AAP chief spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj on Wednesday during a press conference.

However, DCP, central district Mandeep Singh Randhawa told media that police have not found any human trafficking racket during the interrogation.¬ ‘During the interrogating of rescued girls we have not found any human trafficking link. Medical examinations is underway and their statements are being reported. We will take action, if we found anything offensive in it.’

Targeting other government agencies, Bhardwaj said, ‘The trafficked women have been promised to send foreign countries like Sri Lanka, Dubai and so on with a job. I want to ask who is giving them visa, money and job in the foreign countries? Why other government agencies are sleeping?’

Coming down heavily on opposition Congress and BJP, AAP leader Bhardwaj said, ‘Why opposition parties are mum on this subject. Even they haven’t condemned the issue and wrote department concern to look into this matter? Because they are busying in targeting AAP.’

Replying to the question of a reporter on police statement AAP leader Bhardwaj said, ‘DCP is distributing no objection certificate in this matter. They want to bury this racket just like they did in previous cases. They failed in busting human trafficking racket.’
