Delhi Pollution: Water Crisis for Next Few Days after increased level of Ammonia in Yamuna
New Delhi: For the second time in a week, one third of Delhi’s population is forced to face water problem from increased level of Ammonia in the Yamuna. Water supply in maximum parts of the Delhi will remain disrupted for next few days.
The level of ammonia at the time of have Increased upto three times, Wajirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla plants are being run on low efficiency. According to Delhi Jal Board, for the next few days, water pressure in many areas of Delhi will be either low or water will not be available. These areas include North Delhi, Central Delhi, Some parts of West Delhi, Delhi Cantt and NDMC Area. As these three pumping stations in Delhi are fully dependent on Yamuna water.
Earlier, residents of Delhi in north and central Delhi and NDMC and Delhi Cantt areas faced a similar problem a week Back just before the New Year. Parts of west Delhi and south Delhi, too, received water at low pressure as pumping of water from Wazirabad, Chandrawal, Haiderpur-I , Haiderpur- II, Okhla, Dwarka, Bawana and Nangloi.
