New Delhi, 31 May 2022: Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal surveyed the Delhi roads on Tuesday, and reiterated that the roads will be designed according to the European standards.
“In other countries, the streets and roads are well-organsied and are of good quality, we want Delhi to achieve it too. Delhi roads are quite wide but are not maintained and are not of international standard,” he stated.
“We are trying to revamp 500km PWD Delhi Roads. As a pilot project, we are undertaking the project on 16 small stretches and it will be completed by September-October. On this basis of the execution and use, we can decide which project can be implemented on the 500 km,” he said.
Kejriwal highlighted that he is unhappy with the horticulture on the roads. The plantation is not of a certain quality and we need to work on that too, he added.
