Delhi sealing drive: Our leaders thrashed and detained by Delhi Police, Says AAP

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday alleged that its leaders, including women, were thrashed while being detained by police at Parliament Street during a protest march against the on-going sealing drive in Delhi. During ‘AAP’s March to Parliament’ against Sealing by MCD & FDI in Retail, AAP Leaders Ashutosh, Dilip K Pandey along with other leaders & MLAs were detained at Sansad Marg.

Addressing the Media, AAP leader and party spokesperson Ashutosh,
Said, “Aap MLAs & MCD Councillors were protesting peacefully against Sealing by MCD, Delhi Police started unprovoked. Delhi Police mercilessly beaten us at protest march. We were forced into parliamentary street police station using rope around group of our leaders and volunteers”.

Addressing the Media, on the same issue, Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai said, “The way the movement is increasing on the issue of sealing and FDI, the BJP has been thinking that they will suppress the movement by using police on us. Our legislators, councilors and activists will participate in the sequence of events being started by the AAP against ceiling at the Civic Center tomorrow”.
