New Delhi: Veterinary Doctor Priyanka Reddy’s Rape and Murder case has taken aback whole nation once again. Whole country is having massive outrage over the heinous incident. A 26-year-old doctor was gangraped and murdered in Shamshabad by four men on Wednesday night.
According to the Cyberabad Police, the four accused punctured the rear wheel of her scooter, offered to help her, dragged her to a secluded spot close to a toll plaza and gangraped her.
Today, people demonstrated at Jantar Mantar with slogans of ‘we want justice’. Angry public sat at middle of road, they were demanding that the accused be hanged immediately without inquiry and trial. Protestors were covering their mouth with black cloth demonstrating their protest.
One of the women activist leading the protest interacted with Ten News and said “We want no mercy on the accused, they need to be hanged. The candel march is not going to work, we need to take imidiate actions. If the accused can rape at age of 16 so brutally then they also deserve equally straict punishment.”
Further he added, “The way we trialed the Ayodhya case amd triple talak case on fast track basis, in the same manner rape cases needs to be trialed.”
As per media report from a news daily, the woman doctor was forced to consume liquor-laced cold drink before the crime took place. The doctor died due to suffocation since the accused had closed her mouth and nose during the crime.
The current case has also provoked outrage on social media with #HangRapists trending on Twitter in India.
