Delhiites to get pothole-free roads within a month, promises Sisodia

February 26, New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said that the Public Works Department would soon launch a mobile application to enable Delhiites to register their complaints against the poor road network, other than this he also promised that all PWD Delhi roads would be made pothole-free within a month.

Sisodia was allocated the PWD Portfolio on Wednesday & held the first review meeting of PWD projects on Friday with senior engineers and the PWD secretary.

He also directed officials to inspect the entire stretch of roads of a total 1300 km of length that falls under the PWD Delhi; the patches, which require any repairs, should be mended within a month, he directed. Moreover, Sisodia said, “If there is a defect in the construction of any road, the engineer concerned will be held responsible.”

“The residents of Delhi will get pothole-free roads within a month. Engineers will be held responsible if any road is damaged in construction. The public works department of Delhi will soon launch an app, which will enable residents to register their complaints about poor road infrastructure,” the minister said.

Earlier Health Minister Satyendra Jain held the PWD Department.
