Delhi’s most wanted robber carrying cash reward of RS. 25,000 arrested
With the arrest of notorious robber namely Vikas , age 28 years s/oSuresh Pal r/o Village Nala, PS Kandhla, District Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, Special Staff, South District on May 26, police has recovered one loaded desi katta and a stolenmotor cycle from his possession.
In view of rising incidents of robberies in South Delhi, Special Staff, South District was assigned the task to nab the active criminals behind such robberies. A team comprising SI Satendra Khari, SI ArvindKumar, ASI Pramod Kumar, ASI Vir Singh,ASI Vijay Kumar, Ct Naresh, Ct. Sonu Kumar, Ct. Anoop, Ct. Pyar Singh and Ct.Basti Ram led by Inspr. Jeet Singh, I/C Special Staff and under the supervision of Palvinder Singh Chahal, ACP/Ops. was constituted.
The police team worked relentlessly and collected the data of criminals who are evading their arrestand committing crime in Delhi and NCR. Efforts of the team bore fruits when on 25.05.17, Ct. Naresh got a specific input that a desperate robber Vikas who had committed an armed robbery in October, 2016 at an Ice Cream Parlour in the area of P.S. Preet Vihar, Delhi and carries a reward of Rs. 25,000 on his arrest would come near LNJP Trauma Centre, Arjun Nagar, New Delhi. On receipt of this input, the team swung into action and a trap was laid andaccused Vikas was arrested. One motorcycle, stolen from the area of P.S.Sultan Puri, Delhi and a desi loaded katta was recovered from his possession.
