New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said that Lt Governor Anil Baijal rejected the proposal of doorstep delivery of government services like address/birth/ caste certificates, licences, pensions etc without knowing the reality.

Earlier Delhi Government passed Doorstep Governance proposal on 16th November which LG yesterday on Twitter asked elected government to reconsider. He said, “Doorstep Delivery is not important in current time & it will increase corruption. When we formed government, we cancelled 199 certificates which were leading to corruption”.

Delhi Deputy CM further raised questions and said, “Should LG have power to express difference of opinion with elected govt on such critical matters of public interest n be able to scuttle such measures? Public hugely suffering because of that”.

“If e-commerce can exist then why Doorstep Delivery of Public Services in Government cant exist,
If there will be efficient feedback system of doorstep delivery how will it increase corruption? May be LG is trying to save existing corrupt system in Government Offices,” Added Sisodia.
