Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon graced the annual day celebrations of MatriKiran School

MatriKiran School celebrated its 6th annual day on 19th November, 2016 in the august presence of Mr. T.L. Satyaprakash, Deputy Commissioner at the school premises.  Anil Bhalla, Chairman, Vatika Ltd, Gautam Bhalla, Managing Director, Vatika Ltd and Divya Bhalla, Chairperson, MatriKiran School were the other dignitaries present at the occasion.

The annual function was based on the theme of Tenali Raman, showcasing the wit of Tenali Raman through different tales. The show started with the chief guest lighting the lamp along with an invocation, seeking the grace of the almighty through a Kathakali performance.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. T.L Satyaprakash, Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon said, “It’s very tough to speak to children. In every 10 years new generation comes and they are better than us. I flunked my class 12 exams and then went on to top the civil services exam. Life comes to a full circle only if you have the determination. It’s only your determination that takes you forward. Losing and failing needs encouragement, not punishment. I also like to encourage children and parents for the concept of community. Whatever you do at the end of the day should service the community.”

A presentation highlighting the developments and achievements of the school was also part of the show. Children showcased the train journey from New Delhi to Humpi through skits and musical performances that not only entertained the audience but also was a life enriching experience through these stories of Tenali Raman who was noted for his brilliance and wit.

Sharing the journey of the school Jyoti Guha, Principal, MatriKiran School said, “At MatriKiran we work around the needs of our children. When we started MatriKiran we aimed to focus on the kind of education that helps them understand life to become a useful constructive member of the society. We do not analyse a child only on his/her academic performance, we focus on the emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological aspects as well”.

The program wound up with the glittering rumble of the school song followed by the vote of thanks.

Thanks & Regards
