“Digital India” initiative by our Honorable Prime Minister raised the perception of Indian community amongst the world.  They started looking to us differently with the revolution which was announced. Renowned International Cyber Security & Cyber Law Expert Advocate Prashant Mali told the Ten News in an exclusive Interview.

“Let me tell you the one thing which was not taken care of  yet today is the Digital India Grievance Redressal mechanism is not present. A lot of projects are being under ‘Digital India’ like websites, financial inclusions but when a common man gets stuck in this entire where should he gets justice,” He told the Ten News.

Under IT Act section 45 there is a redressed mechanism where every states secretary is supposed to be Adjucating officer where the officer has to educate all the civil cases comes under IT Act that means if your data is under theft, you can go to this particular officer to seek justice in the damages and compensation. Except two or three states,  none of the other states are actively participated in the Adjucating process. The state secretaries are responsible for the negligence of the Act.

“From 2011 onwards we don’t have chairman in the Cyber Appellate Tribunal which is located in Delhi. Huge money is being wasted in to the managing of the Tribunal. There should be tribunal in all the states if possible. Digital India should have justice delivery mechanism , it should be implemented,” the expert said.
