Music director and singer Bappi Lahiriseems to be planning a new career beyond the film industry. The “disco king”, known for his mega hits in the 1980s, is keen to join the BJP, it is learnt.

Lahiri, or ‘Bappi da’ as he is popularly called by fans, has approached the party and the BJP’s central leadership is considering the matter, sources said, adding that a decision is expected soon.
