Accenture I&D recognition awards 17 is a program with focus on Gender Equality by Accenture Group. To this end, Accenture has a Recognition Program felicitating women leaders at the International Women’s Day celebrations. The heart of these recognition programs are ‘inspiring stories’ of women who have strived to raise the bar. Dr Abha Rishi has been recognized in the FACULTY areà as an academician who has gone above & beyond her regular duties associated with the job, and made a significant contribution in the area of inclusion & diversity. She was felicitated for her work with women and student entrepreneurs along with other socially disadvantaged groups.
Dr Abha Rishi is among the shortlisted 6 leaders, was felicitated at the IWD gala event held on March 8th.

Dr Abha Rishi has mentored nearly 200 women under the Goldman Sachs programme, mentored more than 100 students under the E cell ( to start their own ventures) and she also works with jail inmates and village girls to start micro-enterprises for becoming self sufficient.

Working with the underprivileged in jails to set up microenterprises, Education and mentoring for rural youth, As a speaker in many forums ( most recent one- as a panelist at the British Business Group Convention in Delhi)

a. CIED- Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development
Due to her assiduous efforts, the Institute had started a new department called the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED). CIED is taking care of all the programmes of the institute related to entrepreneurship and is also responsible for facilitating and monitoring the activities of E-Cell – the students wing, Birla Incubation Centre , BIMTECH Alumni Entrepreneur Club and also the Executive programmes. Other efforts include
Inclusions in Curriculum of subjects like Innovation and Growth, etc., Lateral Placement ( till two years for students who want to become entrepreneurs), Creation of an Advisory Board for the Centre, Creation of an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Greater Noida, Nomination as Centre for Excellence by NEN, BIC- Birla Incubation Centre, Creation of AEC- The Alumni Entrepreneur Club, Goldman Sachs Global 10 K Women programme
