Dr Hemang Joshi to Assume Charge as BJYM National President at BJP Headquarters Today

New Delhi News (31 August 2026): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Vadodara Member of Parliament Dr Hemang Joshi is set to formally assume charge as the new National President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at a ceremony to be held at the BJP Headquarters in New Delhi today.

The charge-taking ceremony will formally mark the beginning of Dr Joshi’s tenure as the head of the BJP’s youth wing. The ceremony at the BJP Headquarters Extension Office is expected to bring together senior BJP leaders and representatives of the youth organisation from across the country. Shri Sunil Bansal, National General Secretary of the BJP and national in-charge of BJYM, is scheduled to attend the programme.

The outgoing BJYM National President and Bengaluru South Member of Parliament Shri Tejasvi Surya is also expected to be present, along with BJYM national office-bearers, National Executive Members, State Presidents and General Secretaries from various states.

Former BJYM State Presidents, General Secretaries and former office-bearers from different parts of the country are also expected to participate in the event. The presence of both current and former functionaries is expected to underline the continuity of the organisation and its emphasis on strengthening its nationwide youth network.

Dr Joshi’s elevation comes at a significant stage in his political career, combining his experience in youth-wing organisation building in Gujarat with his role as a young parliamentarian. His supporters and party functionaries expect this experience to help him expand BJYM’s outreach among young people and strengthen its organisational activities across the country.
