New Delhi : DXPWA is a group of residents, home buyers and commuters along the 29 KM proposed Dwarka Expressway (NH – 248BB), who are committed towards the cause of early completion of Dwarka Expressway since last 3 years, which is delayed by 9 years impacting millions of people who live or commute to Delhi/Gurgaon.

This Association represents the interests of commuters, home buyers & residents from more than 175 residential and lass of Delhi and Gurgaon daily commuters.

Today, the core committee of DXP Welfare Association has decided to sit on indefinite hunger strike from 1st March 2019 to raise concerns for time bound completion of Dwarka Expressway due to non-cooperation of Delhi Govt. lead by honourable chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

As per inforrnation received from NHAI, tree transplantation/ afforestation of approx. 13000 units needs to be done for stretch of 9 km out of 29 Km and approval from Delhi Govt. on the same is pending since December 2017.

As per information received from NHAI, there have been many rneetings between central government and Delhi Govt., however the Forest Department has not provided its approval. Tree transplantation should not be an issue and the Expressway is a much needed solution towards the solution of vehicular pollution and traffic congestion in Delhi/Gurgaon including the availability of basic amenities for residents of Delhi and Gurgaon.

Members of DXP Welfare Association has already met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and PWD minister Satyendra Jain of Delhi Govt. in October 2018 on this issues and his response to support on this issues was unsatisfactory which indicates his intentions to delay it more. From last four months, core team of DXP Welfare Association is seeking time from Arvind Kejriwal for meeting on this issue but there is no response from him till date.
