New Delhi, December 23, 2023: The ASSOCHAM School Education Conference held on December 22nd brought together key stakeholders, including Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Chairman of Assocham National Council of Education & Co-Founder & Chancellor of Shobhit University. The conference aimed to navigate challenges and opportunities in modern school extension.
In an exclusive interview, Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra highlighted the significance of discussing current happenings in school education in the light of the education policy. The major outcome of the conference was the identification of common points among major stakeholders across India. These points will be compiled into a white paper and submitted to the government of India, with the anticipation of positive changes in school education and the overall ecosystem.
Addressing concerns about the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP), Vijendra emphasized the need for collaboration among stakeholders. He noted that the conference facilitated brainstorming sessions, leading to solutions that could accelerate the implementation of the NEP.
Neeraj Arora, Assistant Secretary General of ASSOCHAM, shed light on the agenda for school education in 2024. As the oldest industry association, ASSOCHAM serves as a common platform for government representatives, industry stakeholders, and other key players. Arora highlighted the association’s role in connecting school and higher education to industry demands, emphasizing the importance of professionals emerging from these platforms.
The conference concluded with a commitment to organizing a series of programs across states, further strengthening the linkages between education and industry to address challenges and foster development in the sector.
