EPCH Celebrates Excellence in Handicrafts at 24th Export Awards, Honoring India’s Top Exporters

New Delhi (24/08/2024): The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) celebrated India’s finest exporters at its 24th Handicrafts Export Awards Function, held today at The Ashok Hotel in New Delhi. The elegant Convention Hall was filled with anticipation and excitement as industry leaders gathered to honor exceptional achievements in the handicrafts sector during the fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21.

A total of 123 trophies and merit certificates were awarded, recognizing outstanding performance by top exporters. Among the distinguished awardees were Pankaj Bubba of Pankaj International, Iftikar Ahmad of Vision Enterprises, and Ankit Aggarwal of Mysore Deep Perfumery House, each of whom shared insights into their companies’ journeys with Ten News.

Pankaj Bubba, whose company specializes in sustainable jute products, expressed his pride and humility upon receiving the award. He highlighted his company’s mission to uplift artisans and promote green practices through organic and recycled jute products, contributing to a greener planet. “This award is a testament to our team’s dedication and efforts,” Bubba stated, crediting EPCH for its crucial role in their global success.

Iftikar Ahmad of Vision Enterprises reflected on the challenges and triumphs of his export journey, noting the significant achievement of receiving an award for excellent growth after rebranding from Kohinoor Craft. Ahmad emphasized the importance of EPCH’s support, particularly through platforms like the India Expo Mart, which have been instrumental in their growth.

Ankit Aggarwal from Mysore Deep Perfumery House shared his excitement about receiving their first EPCH Certificate of Excellent Export. He discussed their proactive approach to promoting their handicrafts across over 40 countries, including participation in international fairs organized by CPC, which provided crucial exposure and opportunities.

The event was graced by prominent figures including Dileep Baid, Chairman of EPCH; Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chief Mentor and Director General of EPCH and Chairman of India Exposition Mart Ltd.; Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Vice Chairman; Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman; and R.K. Verma, Executive Director of EPCH, along with numerous press and media representatives.
