EPCH Export Fraternity Extend Greetings to West Bengal CM Subhendu Adhikari and Newly Inducted Cabinet Ministers

Kolkata, 09 May, 2026 – The Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Director General, Executive Director, Committee of Administration Members, Regional Members, exporters, artisans, and the entire fraternity of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts extend their heartfelt congratulations and warm greetings to the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Subhendu Adhikari, and the newly inducted Cabinet Ministers on assuming office.

On this occasion, the EPCH leadership expressed confidence that under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister, West Bengal will continue to witness inclusive growth, industrial development, strengthening of MSMEs, and enhanced support for traditional handicrafts and artisan communities.

Welcoming the new Government, Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman, EPCH, stated that West Bengal has a rich heritage of handicrafts, handlooms, and artisan traditions which contribute significantly to employment generation and exports. He expressed hope that the State Government would continue to strengthen policies and initiatives supporting artisans, women entrepreneurs, exporters, and MSMEs.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General in a role of Chief Mentor, EPCH, conveyed that EPCH looks forward to working closely with the Government of West Bengal for the promotion of handicrafts exports, artisan welfare, skill development, cluster development, infrastructure support, and international market access for handicrafts exporters from the State.

Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman, EPCH, conveyed that West Bengal possesses immense potential in the handicrafts and artisan sector, and expressed confidence that under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister, the State will further emerge as a significant hub for handicrafts production, innovation, entrepreneurship, and exports, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for artisans and MSMEs.

Prahladka, Eastern Regional Convenor & COA Member, Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, expressed that EPCH looks forward to working in close coordination with the concerned departments of the Government of West Bengal to further reinforce the handicrafts export ecosystem, expand global market access, strengthen policy facilitation, and generate enhanced international trade opportunities for handicrafts exporters and artisan-led enterprises from the State.
