EPCH & FASCO ORGANISED T20 CRICKET MATCH BETWEEN DELHI AND PANIPAT EXPORTERS, SPORTS MAIDAN GURUGRAM

NEW DELHI – 22nd February’ 2021 – A T20 Challenge cricket match was played between member exporters of handicrafts from Delhi and Panipat at Sports Maidan, Gurugram, Haryana on 21.2.21 organized by EPCH and FASCO (Fitness and Sports Committee) wherein Shri Ravi K Passi, Chairman-EPCH, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General- EPCH and Chief Guest Mr. Sachin Khurana, a celebrity from Bollywood (Model & TV Actor), Members of Committee of Administration-EPCH and large number of member exporters were present during match.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General- EPCH informed that EPCH initiated playing cricket match amongst members of the Council in the year 2017 to have fitness activity beside business obligations. The first T20 match was played between Chairman XI and Members XI in March, 2017 in Moradabad. Since then the organisation of cricket matches once in a year has become a regular practice and matches are being organised by FASCO at different handicraft clusters. He further mentioned that the organization of these types of activities is an important step for bringing business environment to “Neo Normal” before IHGF Delhi Fair’2021 scheduled to be held from 19th – 23rd May’2021.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General – EPCH informed that Mr Prince Malik (M/s Osyrus) was the captain of Delhi team and Mr Devinder Singh (M/s Sahib international) headed the Panipat team.

Team Delhi won the match and trophy was presented to them by the Chief Guest Mr Sachin Khurana, Shri Ravi K Passi, Chairman-EPCH and Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director General – EPCH. From Team Delhi Mr. Priyansh Malik declared “Man of the Match” and Cricket Team of Delhi NCR member exporters won the T20 “Cricket Match Trophy” and Mr. Prince Malik Captain Delhi Cricket team received the T20 cricket match trophy, said Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General-EPCH.

Members from Panipat (Haryana) and Delhi NCR present in large number appreciated the efforts of EPCH for organising these kinds of bursting activities for the member exporters once in a year, informed by Shri Ravi K Passi, Chairman-EPCH
