EPCH Marks Presence in one of biggest trade shows of USA- “Sourcing at Magic”

Delhi/NCR – 15th February’2024 – “Sourcing at Magic”, 2024 got underway at Las Vegas, USA and will conclude on 15th February’ 2024. The India Pavilion in Sourcing at Magic, 2024 was inaugurated by Dr. K. Srikar Readdy, Consul General, Consulate General of India, San Francisco, USA in the presence of Mr. Harry Singh, Chairman, Las Vegas India Chamber of Commerce & Tourism; Vikas Goyal, Joint Director, EPCH; member exporters and visitors at Las Vegas Convention Centre, Las Vegas, USA on 13th February, 2024 informed, R. K. Verma, Executive Director –EPCH.

Dr. K. Srikar Readdy, Consul General, Consulate General of India, San Francisco, USA along with the other official visited the EPCH pavilion and interacted with participants and were highly delighted with the large variety of Indian handicrafts products display in “Sourcing at Magic”.

Dileep Baid, Chairman EPCH said that “Sourcing at Magic” is a significant trade show to showcase the unparalleled beauty and craftsmanship of Indian handicrafts. Council’s presence at this esteemed event reflects our dedication towards expanding market access for Indian Handicrafts exporters. He further added, fair will feature a diverse array of fashion jewellery, shawl, scarves, high fashion accessories and footwear each reflecting the unique Indian traditions.

R. K. Verma, Executive Director–EPCH informed India’s participation will increase the fair’s vibrancy and diversity, as well as familiarise global manufacturers, retailers, and brands with the vibrant entrepreneurship in the fashion jewellery and fashion accessories opening up opportunities for sourcing from India. In this edition over 90 Indian companies are exhibiting and 9400+ trade visitors are expected to visit the show. USA is major market for Indian Handicraft products and hence “Sourcing at Magic”, Las Vegas, USA is an important marketing medium for Indian Handicrafts companies world over. India’s exports of handicrafts to the USA during the year 2022-23 was Rs. 11,035.60 Crores (US $ 1,370.65 Million). Focus on India at this fair will help in further boosting exports.

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts is a nodal agency for promotion of exports of handicrafts from the Country and create brand image of magic of the gifted hands of millions of artisans and crafts persons engaged in production of home, lifestyle, textiles, furniture and fashion jewellery & accessories products in different craft clusters of the Country. The overall Handicrafts exports during the year 2022-23 was Rs. 30,019.24 Crores (US $ 3,728.47 Million) informed Mr. R. K. Verma, Executive Director, EPCH.
