EPCH participates in Hong Kong Mega Show 2023, projecting India as profitable sourcing destination

New Delhi – 20th October 2023: EPCH set-up an exclusive India Pavilion in Hong Kong Mega Show Part-1 from 20 – 23 October, 2023. The EPCH India pavilion got inaugurated by Satwant Khanalia, Consul General of India, Hong Kong along with Renjina Mary Varghese, Consul (Commerce), Rajesh Jain, Member – COA and other Indian exhibitors informed R. K. Verma Executive Director, EPCH.

Satwant Khanalia, Consul General of India, Hong Kong while inaugurating appreciated the efforts of the Council for bringing Indian Handicrafts to the world markets and promotion of handicrafts exports from the country. CGI also interacted with member participants and assured all support in future business promotions.

Dileep Baid, Chairman – EPCH said Mega Show Series has been the key showcase and sourcing hub for Asian-made products in Hong Kong organised every October after IHGF Delhi Fair. Entering its 30th edition, the Part 1 session will host exhibitors from Asia and around the world to showcase gifts & premiums, housewares, lifestyle products, toys & baby products, Christmas & festive supplies as well as sporting goods in the Asia-Pacific region.

R. K. Verma Executive Director, EPCH informed that Council is participating with 14 member exporters in Hong Kong Mega Show Part-1 along with Master Craft persons deputed by O/o Development Commissioner (Handicrafts). The exhibitors are expecting positive business response from the buyers on their exclusive products display including Artmetalware, Glassware, Ceramic decoration, Home textiles, Apron, Christmas articles, Kalamkari Painting etc. Verma further shared, Council is also undertaking the Road Show for the promotion of forthcoming IHGF Delhi Fair Spring, 2024.

Export Promotion Council for the Handicrafts is a nodal organization for promotion of exports of handicrafts from the Country and create brand image of magic of the gifted hands of millions of artisans and crafts persons engaged in production of home, lifestyle, textiles, furniture, and fashion jewellery & accessories in craft clusters of the Country. The overall Handicrafts exports during the year 2022-23 was Rs. 30,019.24 Crores (US $ 3,728.47 Million) informed R. K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH.
