EPCH showcases “Indian Handicrafts – Magic of Gifted Hands” in Paris, France

New Delhi – 04th September’2025 – The Maison & Objet 2025 got underway from 04 – 08 September, 2025 at Paris, France with EPCH Thematic Pavillion namely “Indian Handicrafts – Magic of Gifted Hands”. The EPCH India Pavilion was inaugurated by Amrit Raj, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India in the august presence of Ms. Eenam Gambhir, Charge D’Affaires (Deputy Chief of Mission), Embassy of India to France; Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman-EPCH; Avdesh Agarwal, Chief Convenor, EPCH; Rajat Asthana, Member CoA EPCH & President IHGF Delhi Fair Autumn’25, EPCH; Mohit Chopra, Vice President of IHGF Autumn’25; Raj Anand, India Representative for M&O; member exhibitors and other senior officials informed by R. K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH.

On the sidelines of Maison & Objet 2025, EPCH In collaboration with the Embassy of India and the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) also organized an Interactive Session on the theme “India – A Profitable Destination for Sourcing Handicrafts.” The session brought together global buyers, sourcing professionals and Indian handicraft exporters to explore opportunities, discuss market trends, and highlight India’s position as a trusted partner in the global handicrafts value chain. Senior dignitaries, trade experts and leading exhibitors deliberated on how India’s diverse product range, sustainable practices and artisanal excellence continue to make it one of the most attractive sourcing destinations worldwide added Verma.

Amrit Raj, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India along with Ms. Eenam Gambhir, Charge D’Affaires (Deputy Chief of Mission), Embassy of India to France and other senior official interacted with member participants and admired the curated showcase of Indian craftsmanship. While addressing, Amrit Raj, DC (Handicrafts) appreciated the thematic display of wide range of handicrafts displayed at the India pavilion and reiterated the commitment of good office O/o Development Handicrafts towards strengthening the global footprint of Indian handicrafts.
Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman-EPCH said that Maison & Objet 2025 has been bringing together the international design, home decor and lifestyle community under one roof. More than 65000 visitors are expecting to visit from over 90 Countries to fair. India’s participation will increase the fair’s vibrancy and diversity, as well as familiarise global manufacturers, retailers, and brands with the vibrant entrepreneurship in the Indian textiles and home furnishing consumer products industry, opening up opportunities for sourcing from India.
