EPCH unanimously elects new Vice Chairman

New Delhi 28^th August, 2021: Dileep Baid, CoA Member has been unanimously elected as new Vice-Chairman of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) during 175^th meeting of Committee of Administration (CoA) held today, informed Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH.

Dr. Kumar further said that Dileep Baid representing M/s Dileep Trading Corporation, Jaipur is a leading handicrafts exporter from North West Region for over three decades. He is associated with Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) for a very long time. His organization has been awarded by various trade organizations and Rajasthan Government. He was also the first Chairman of Handicrafts & Carpet Sector Skill Council (HCSSC) and also served as President of Federation of Rajasthan Handicrafts Exporters (FORHEX). He is very actively involved in various trade promotion bodies like CII and others.

Dileep Baid expressed his gratitude to members of Committee of Administration of EPCH after being unanimously elected as Vice-Chairman of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, an apex organization for promotion of Exports of Handicrafts from the Country.

The export figures for April-March of the current financial year 2020-21 are at Rs. 25679.98 crores (USD 3459.75 million) registering a marginal growth of 1.62 % (Rupee terms) and (-) 2.93 % (dollar terms) over the same period last year. However, the provisional figures for the April-July of the current financial year 2021-22 are at Rs. 7792.14crores (USD 1053.34 million) registering a growth of 62.38% (Rupee terms) and 66.07% (dollar terms).
