Ex-Army official repeatedly slapped by a policeman in ATM queue, cop suspended

New Delhi, December 8: A retired Army official who went to withdraw money from an ATM in Bangalkot, Karnataka was repeatedly slapped by a policeman. The unfortunate incident has been caught on camera and the video of which has gone viral on social media websites. After a complaint was registered against the policeman, the senior officials of Karnataka police decided to suspend the cop for his rude behaviour.

The short video which seems to be have shot by someone present at the ATM shows that a large number of people had queued up to withdraw new notes from an ATM. In the video, a police officer who got angry on one of the person – dressed up in civil – slapped him repeatedly. Some bystanders tried to stop the crowd but the angry cop can be seen beating the person who in retaliation only tried to explain his problem to withdraw money.
