Ex-Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and his wife joins BJP in presence of JP Nadda!
New Delhi: Giving another Setback for Gandhis, Congress Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh resigned from the party and joined Bharatiya Janata Party. The Congress leader Sanjay Singh & his wife, Amita Singh (former chairperson all India Professional Congress in UP) joined the saffron party in presence of Working President, JP Nadda.
Addressing the Media after joining BJP, Congress Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh said, “Congress is still in the past, unaware of the future. Today, country is with PM Modi and if the country is with him, I’m with him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas” has convinced him to join the BJP. “He is walking the talk, and that’s why the whole country is with him.”
He further said, “I have joined BJP and I have resigned from the party, as well as my membership of Rajya Sabha.”
Singh had unsuccessfully contested the recent Lok Sabha election from Sultanpur against BJP’s Maneka Gandhi.
Singh’s wife Ameeta Sinh, who is the chairperson of the All India Professional Congress in UP, has also quit the Congress.
