Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture is organising a Karwachauth fest and Hon’ble Minister has invited female ambassadors to India of various countries to attend the program. It will be celebrated with much fervour as married ladies enjoy the company of Hon’ble Minister Lekhi amidst cultural celebrations complete with music, mehendi, food etc.
The event will also felicitate the doctors and nurses, who not only save lives at their workplace, but fulfil their duties and wives and daughters. The health sector went beyond its capability, showed strength during the weakest period and for which Lekhi is wholeheartedly proud and grateful.
Karwa Chauth is a festival celebrated by married Hindu women of the Indian subcontinent on the fourth day after Purnima (full moon day) in the month of Karthika (around the month of October and November). Like many Hindu festivals, Karwa Chauth is based on the lunisolar calender which accounts for all astronomical positions, especially positions of the moon which is used as a marker to calculate important dates. On Karwa Chauth, married women, especially in North India, observe fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands.
The event will give a taste of India culture to ambassadors in a unique merger of culture and diplomatic relations. Lekhi is known for her innovative ideas and through this programme she has combined the essence of both Culture and External Affairs Ministries, as she holds the charge of both. She is the executionary of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and holds the charge of the historic Azadi ka Amrit Mahostav ,on ongoing event under the aegis of Culture Ministry, that celebrates and commemorates 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
The programme, that will be held in the afternoon of 23rd October, 2021 at PSOI Club Lawn and attended by female officers of Culture and External Affairs ministry, female doctors and nurses and married ladies of the Lok Sabha Constituency of Lekhi, along with the female ambassadors.
Lekhi is one of the most active politicians of today’s times who is constantly among general publicin all their joy and sorrows. The event will give a chance to general public to interact with the minister and celebrate the festival with exponential energy. The ambassadors, too, will have an opportunity to interact with the Indian citizens and understand the intricacies and spirit of Indian festivals. The event is supported by Confluence, and organization that believes in unification of skills talents and leaderships. The event will be a step towards celebration of Indian Culture as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahostav by Meenakshi Lekhi.
