Railways include Faridabad in the list of ‘Modal Stations’ : Krishan Pal Gurjar

Faridabad, Aug 13 (PTI) Faridabad has been added to the list of 200 railway stations from around the country, which the Centre has aimed to develop in the current financial year.

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar told PTI that Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has set a target to develop all these 200 railway stations in the current financial year 2015-16.  Gurjar said that in view of being included in the list of stations to be uplifted as modal stations, Faridabad railway station would soon become part of its beautification project.

Till now the city, in spite of being one of the oldest industrial hubs of the country, was short of even the basic amenities at the railway station.

However, after being declared as a modal station, it would surely be getting some special attention, said Gurjar.

Krishan Pal Gurjar, being Member of Parliament from Faridabad conveyed his thanks to the Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.

He said that with this decision the city would be witnessing a positive wave of development.
