Haryana orders probe into leopard’s death on Gurgaon-Faridabad E-way

Haryana Minister of Environment and Forests Captain Abhimanyu on Saturday said the state government has set up a high-level committee to probe the death of a seven-month-old female leopard, which died on the night of May 5 on the Gurgaon-Faridabad Expressway.

The minister, who was in Gurgaon on Saturday to launch the prime minister’s insurance policy, said the government has taken the matter very seriously.

“We have directed concerned officials from the wildlife and forest department to identify the reasons behind wild animals coming on busy roads before year.
