The meeting between agitating farmer leaders and government concluded on Monday evening at Vigyan Bhawan.
The next round of talks has been scheduled to be held at 2 pm on January 8.

Soon after the talk, farmer leaders said that there will be no withdrawal of protests until all three laws are repealed by the government.

Speaking to a news agency, Rakesh Tikait, Spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union, said, “Discussion took place on our demands — repeal of the three laws and MSP… Kannon wapasi nahi, to ghar wapasi nahi (We will not go home until the laws are withdrawn).”

Moreover, Hannan Mollah, General Secretary, All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) said that they don’t want any other discussion except for repealing of the three laws.

“Government is under tremendous pressure. We all said that this is our demand (repeal of the laws). We don’t want discussion on any other topic except for on repeal of the laws. Protests will not be withdrawn until repeal of laws,” said Mollah.
