FASCO-EPCH organize 1st All India T20 Cricket Tournament for members exporters

NEW DELHI 19th December, 2021: FASCO-EPCH organized 1st ALL INDIA EPCH CRICKET TROPHY (T20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT) – FASCO PREMIER LEAGUE 2021 from 17-19 December’2021 at Gurugram (Haryana) between member exporters of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH).  Fitness and Sports Committee (FASCO] constituted to organise various health camps, yoga conventions, sports and outdoor activities so that member exporters can remain active, said Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General – EPCH

In the series of efforts to burst the stress of the business obligations, the first T20 match was played between Chairman XI and Members XI in March, 2017 in Moradabad.  Since then the organisation of cricket matches once in a year has become a regular practice and matches are being organised at different handicraft clusters by joint initiative of EPCH-FASCO, informed Raj Kumar Malhotra, Chairman-EPCH.

Prince Malik, Captain of Royal Strikers Delhi Cricket Team, member of Committee of Administration, EPCH-FASCO CO-ORDINATOR, speaking on the occasion informed that 1st in the series, FASCO introduced FASCO PREMIER LEAGUE 2021 comprising 08 cricket teams of member exporters from different craft clusters of PAN India like Royal Strikers Delhi cricket team of Delhi NCR Member exporters, Moradabad Master Blasters of Moradabad, Panipat Thrashers of Panipat, Firozabad Warriors of Firozabad,  Agra Legends of Agra, Aligarh Panthers of Aligarh, Central Super Lions and from members of Buying Agent Association played cricket matches and semi-finals on 17-18 December’2021 at Ball, Park, Gurugram (Haryana).  The final cricket match played today was between Delhi Royal Strikers cricket team and Panipat Thrashers of Panipat and Delhi Royal Strikers cricket team won the match with 07 Wickets.

Delhi Royal Strikers Team of Delhi won the Grande finale cricket match. The winning trophy and runner-up trophy was presented by the “Chief Guest” Kirti Azad, Former Member of Parliament & Former India Player and Member of 1983 World Cup Winning Team in presence of Raj Kumar Malhotra, Chairman-EPCH, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH, Ravi K. Passi, Past Chairman-EPCH, Arshad Mir, Chairman-HCSSC, Dinesh Kumar, Prince Malik,  Rajesh Jain,  Sagar Mehta, Simrandeep Singh Kohli, Avdesh Kumar Agarwal, Members of COA-EPCH, R.K.Verma, Executive Director-EPCH and other leading member exporters, said Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Kirti Azad, Former Member of Parliament & Former India Player and Member of 1983 World Cup Winning Team appreciated the efforts of the EPCH and FASCO for organizing these types of activities for member exporters.

Rakesh Kumar, Director General – EPCH further informed from the cricket team of Royal Strikers Delhi,  Priyansh Malik was declared as best bowler and Sunny from Panipat Thrashers was declared as Best Batman, Shrey from Panipat Thrashers was declared as Most Valuable Player, Deeraj  Kapoor from Royal Strikers Delhi was declared as Man of the Series.

Prominent Members exporters from PAN India, Delhi NCR were present in large numbers and everyone appreciated the efforts of EPCH and FASCO for organising these kinds of stress bursting activities for the members once in a year.
