The fear of cross voting in Rajya Sabha election in Haryana conveys that democracy is a weakness. The voters in this election are elected representatives of political parties who have to be faithful to the intentions of the will of people who got them elected. There is no logic and rationale for using the opportunity to settle the scores and mint money but respect the mandate of their own election as the guiding principle. The independent candidates are the opportunist and must search within to strengthen democracy which is otherwise deteriorating day by day. We need ethical politicians who make use of their conscience with faithfulness to their voters who wanted healthy opposition leaders more than politicians in power for Strengthening democracy.
