*FIA and JCB jointly hosts Golf Championship*

It is said, “All work and no play is not good for health”. Going by the
saying the members of Faridabad Industries Association keep some sporting
activity scheduled in their annual calendar. It was golf that got the
preference of being played as the utilization of the weekly off of Sunday.
Big names in industry, known for their commitment to their work, somehow
managed to spare the day in the name of sport. The occasion was that of 7th
FIA-JCB Annual Golf Tournament, held at Aravali Golf Club Faridabad.
The weather god also helped the golfers to enjoy their out in the splashing
green of Aravali Golf Club at Faridabad. The annual event this time proved
a major hit with 80 golfers participating in the same. This is the highest
number of golfers making it to the tournament till now.
While the players enjoyed the surroundings and the competition, the
Championship witnessed presence of eminent personalities like his
Excellency C.K. Tien, Ambassador of Taiwan in India, Mr. Nitesh Mishra,
Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home, Govt. of India, Mr. Siddharth Singh,
Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Faridabad, Mr. Bhaskar Chatterjee,
Retd. (IAS) to name a few.
Mr. Nitin Gulati, Gulati Steel Fab. Pvt. Ltd. won the overall tournament
while Mr. Uday Sood ended up with the Runner up trophy.
Shri K C Lakhani, Chairman, Lakhani Armaan Group was the Chief Guest of
this occasion who encouraged the participants by presenting trophies to all
the winners.
Mrs. Mini Bindra, the only woman participant proved the women power by
winning the trophy of “Nearest to Pin”.
A large number of Businessmen, Entrepreneurs and Professionals were present
on this occasion which added to the success of the Championship. Prominent
entrepreneurs whose presence was noted included Shri B. R. Bhatia, Maharani
Innovative Paints P Ltd., Mr. Navdeep Chawla, Psychotropics India Ltd., Mr.
S K Jain, Indo Autotech Ltd., Mr. Navneet Gumber, SNG Metals Pvt. Ltd. Mr.
Sukhdev Singh, Hind Hydraulics & Engineers, Mr. Raj Bhatia, Bony Polymers
Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Rajiv Kapoor, Fortis Healthcare Limited, Mr. Jasmeet Singh,
JCB India Ltd., Mr. Anand Mehta, a prominent industrialist and President
K.L. Mehta Educational Institutions and Mr. Ajay Joneja of Joneja Iron and
Steel, to name a few. Among the professionals the eminent Chartered
Accountant and industrialist CA R. L. Borar also marked his presence. Mr.
Sanjiv Khemka, Vice President of Faridabad Industries Association and a
known name in industry said that participating in sporting events make the
individual feel recharged. Mr. Ajay Joneja, always found to be at the top
of his energy said, “Sporting not only help us be refresh, but also help us
break the monotony of the day to day life”.
