Filmfare nominations Announced, Salman Khan to Host Ceremony

Mumbai (25/04/2023): The performances, films, and artists who made a splash in 2022 have been nominated for the 68th Filmfare Awards in 2023. The ceremony will be hosted by Salman Khan, with Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul serving as co-hosts. Additionally scheduled to perform at the awards ceremony are actors Vicky Kaushal, Govinda, Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi received the most nominations, garnering 10, including best director, best actress for Alia Bhatt, best music and best debut male for actor Shantanu Maheshwari.

Alia’s second movie Brahmastra with husband Ranbir Kapoor, received numerous top nominations, including best picture, best director for Ayan Mukerji, best actor in a supporting role for Mouni Roy, and best VFX. The movie received nominations for all of its musical components, including the score (by Pritam), lyrics (by Amitabh Bhattacharya for Kesariya), and singing (by Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi).
