Finissage Ceremony – International Artworks Exhibition | Feb 26, Thurs, 5 pm | at HICC

* SPIRIT AND MATTER – THREE ARTISTS – THREE GENERATIONS​ ​​by Ilona Lovas, Anna Makovecz and Villő Turcsány (from Hungary) will be closed by the honorary Ms. Dipali Khanna, Member Secretary, IGNCA, in the presence of curator, Ms. Katalin Keserü and artist, Ms. Villő Turcsány from Hungary followed by ​MOHINIYATTAM performance, by Hungarian dancer, Ms. Brigitta Hegedűs on Thursday, 26 February at 5 pm.
Ilona Lovas, Anna Makovecz and Villő Turcsány from Hungary The exhibition of three Hungarian artists, representing three different generations:
Ilona Lovas’s works examine the metamorphosis of material, body and spirit. These evergreen topics of art are translated into the language of contemporary mediums such as installation, photo and video.
Anna Makovecz, The creation of her works is built on folk and popular art. The mediums, techniques (wall hangings, pillows, embroidery) refer the engagement of material/body and emotions; also reflect the ancient magic character of the art work (healing, incantation).
Villő Turcsány’s sensitive forms are concentrated on relationship of spiritual and material, the visualization of the essence of soul. The secrets of the intensity of her installations are the sculptural vision, musical thinking and the harmonic balance of these structures. (She will be present at the Finissage Ceremony)
Curator – Katalin Keserü: Professor emeritus at the Art History Institute, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. As a researcher and lecturer she has worked on the history of the 19th century and contemporary arts and architecture. Between 2000 and 2006 she directed the Ernst Museum, Budapest, and was the director of the Budapest Kunsthalle (1992-1995). In these periods she edited books and curated exhibitions on art and culture of the modern Budapest also in abroad and at the international biennials, triennials (including the first Amrita-Sher-Gil exhibition in Europe as well as the exhibition of contemporary women artists at the National Gallery in Delhi, the Hungarian participation in one of the Delhi Triennales). Organiser – Anna Bagyó: based in Budapest, but studied in Croatia (Zagreb University, Art history/Ethnology) and New York (New York University, Master of Arts in Art Administration & Management/Art Dealership & Collecting). Art consultant specialized in corporate art since 1987, more than eighty projects of corporate art collections and public art. Regularly attends the most important international art forums (biennales, exhibitions, art fairs, auctions) and published more than three hundred articles about the art scene and art market. Maintains broad contacts with influential art professionals, galleries, collectors and artists worldwide and professionally assists Hungarian art scene for international appearance.
– The artist MD Deleep Franco Swiss,
​ ​has presented his show under the aegis of India Art Fair. Influenced by Marcel Duchamp, his artistic work may be identified as sculpture, but, it actually manifests rather through hybridization and through the symbolization of simplest forms. With this view, he desires to participate in this particular ambiance that permeates through the atmosphere of India and attempts to translate and share emotions and sensations through these intermediaries.

​: Having learnt Yoga from Vancouver, she got attracted to India and found immediate interest in Bharatanatyam and got her training at the Dharani Gurukula School, Cochin. Later, she also took up MOHINIYATTAM – classical dance of Kerala – dance under the guidance of Guru Smt. Shyamala Surrendran. She recently performed at the Hungarian Embassy’s coolest party and on an opening ceremony of an art residency’s exhibition, commemorating Amrita Sher-Gil, organized by HICC in Cochin. (She will perform at the Finissage Ceremony)
