#FIRE AT LG SHOWROOM IN OKHLA IN NEW #DELHI

New Delhi: A massive fire gutted an LG showroom in Okhla phase 1 on Monday night. The incident was reported around 10:15pm and around 30 fire tenders were rushed to douse the fire. Fire officials police and DDMA personnel reached the spot.
Even after three hours of the incident, more than 25 tenders that were rushed could not contain the fire. Fire officials say that the building was a godown used by LG company to store their electronic equipment in abundance. "The building as fully air conditioned and stuffed with electrical equipment. Prima facie it appears to be a case of shot circuit. Wooden and plastic material used in packing of such equipment were also stashed in good quantity which spread the fire. Compressor of the machines must have fueled the fire," a senior fire official said.
Police received a call about the incident at 10:15. The locals who work as labourers in the godown and live near by said that they saw dense lack smoke around 10pm and rushed to the spot. "The guards at the godown informed the police. Thermacol, cardboards, plastic and wooden material was kept inside the go down in good quantity. The total loss would be in crores," said one of the labourers who worked in the building.
